Flag Head Coach Ascanio Palumbo looks ahead to his squads 2019 campaign.
“It has been a long off-season and preseason, but in this time the team have welcomed a lot of new faces and retained some players from last season. On top of that two new coaches have joined the team and have provided great coaching for the teams young athletes.
The teams first tournament of the year has all the players excited to get some league action. With talent at multiple positions the season ahead looks to be the best Cheetahs Flag has ever seen.
A milestone was already achieved in preseason, with the Cheetahs Flag winning their first ever game.
The team opens up the season Saturday in South London. Where they will try and achieve their first ever league win, but it won’t be easy with teams like South coast Spitfires, South London Renegades and the London Blitz to play.
After Saturday the Cheetahs return to action on the 25th May in Kent and then host on June 15th, before finishing the season at Waveney in Lowestoft.
The season looks to be an exciting and challenging one. The team welcome the challenge and will be fighting to the very end trying to create history for the Cheetah Flag team”.
